On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 was planned flight expected to go to from LaGuardia Airport in New York to Charolotte/Douglas International Airport at Charolotte, North Carolina. But the plane hit a flock of Canadian Geese and was disabled. Luckily, the crew sucessfully ditiched in the Hudson River 6 minutes after takeoff. All 150 passengers and 5 survived the crash. The incident became known as "The Miracle on the Hudson."
